Happy New Year!
I’ve just returned from a very relaxing week-long holiday at the beach in wonderful accommodation directly overlooking the Pacific Ocean (sorry to all my Northern hemisphere friends, but it is summer here!). I didn’t write one word the entire week, but I did spend a lot of time thinking about my characters and the vague story arcs I have planned for them in the future. I also thought about what I wanted to accomplish this year. So I have made two resolutions:
· To write as much as I possibly can during 2012. I’ve planned on 4 books (2 in each series) and a collection of two Heller short stories. My stretch target will be 3 of each series in 2012, but as my books are so long, I’m not sure that will be possible.
· I also have some fitness goals that I hope to achieve in 2012. Writing is a very sedentary occupation and my day job is also desk-bound. In that environment, it’s easy for a few extra kilograms to creep up on you over twelve months. So anybody who emails me during the year, feel free to enquire how my fitness goals are going. That will keep me honest about them at least!
Happy New Year to one of my favorite authors... Hope you have a wonderful year and I do expect to see those four new books haha.. No pressure! You go girlfriend! Oh, speaking of girlfriend, when do we see Heller's Girlfriend? You know who to send an ARC to if you want a review for your books hehe. Hope all is well in your world... RJ xx
ReplyDeleteHi RJ, a belated Happy New Year to you too! Working hard on Heller's Girlfriend - about halfway through my second final edit. Then I have to do the cover art, which is always a challenge for me! JD :-)
